There will no longer be a sense of "ownership" of a KH. In the past bros scraped together cash because the hall would be "theirs". Few realised that they would, never did, own it.
Now the decision, the finance, the build will all be parachuted in. Where is the sense of sacrifice and conseqent ownership that motivated deep giving? It seems to me that people will have more loyalty to their nearest public library.

recently had a discussion with a surgeon who said jw parents "usually" (her word, not mine) privately say they will take blood if the provider gets a court order.. yet another person, with no connection to dubs and no motive to make this up, saying this same thing.
interesting.. i'm surprised the thought police have not come out with an article saying jehoopla reads the hearts and judges as bloodguilty those who are relieved when forced to take blood..
There have been few if any cases in recent years in the UK of child deaths due to the blood issue. In the past children were wisked out of hospitals even where there was a court order to be treatedby some quack without blood. They lived or died, it didn't matter, god remembered them. The society in the UK have long ago given tacit permission for hospitals to give blood to children by the use of court orders. They just side-step the issue and shrug their shoulders. "Not our fault gov, it's them Satanic courts".
The blood police concentrate instead on adults, whenever there is a difficult health problem a trained elder waits in the wings offering "help" when required. How do they do it? Smiling sadly as people die, they should be dressed like the grim reaper.

I can absolutely confirm this purchsse. I bumped into an old friend of mine today who has actually worked on the building. He reports that the house was on the market at £500,000 and that the price paid is said to be less than that.

Phizzy, you are on to something there. When you think of the uproar caused by MPs expences this sort of misuse of charity money could go down a storm in the media. Luxury accomodation bought tax free by a charity that never seems to help anyone, gold dust.
This could even knock the Essex bethel project on the head if it causes a media storm. That happened before when the GB got cold feet after the debacle in France over their charitable status. There was a huge project on the drawing board that was dropped like a hot brick.
so the mid week talk from the co is making me feel ill..... he is going on about all the wonderful adjustments in the org and teachings, and just how clear and understandable they are....and saying that these truths make us more convinced that we have the truth!.
and that all these changes are evidence of love for the people in our territory... the truth is now so much clearer and easier to understand..... oh come on!!!!!!!!.

so, i have some free time on my hands and decided to volunteer for a hospice company that is fairly large and well known.. anyway, i visit people that have a relatively short time to live and it is very fulfilling.
however, the company that i am going through is for-profit.
i knew this when i signed up, but i don't care because its all about the hospice patients for me.. so, i get this email:.
I have experienced the support offered in the UK hospice movement. These establishments are definately not for profit. The quality of the care and the thoughtfullness of the staff both paid and volunteer still warms my heart.
I can't imagine this service being given for profit but we have the NHS here which means that no one is forced to pay for medical care. I believe that despite it's faults we have a magnificent model of health care. Dignified end of life care though tends to be handled by the local hospice. These tend to be well supported as charities and are held in the highest respect in the communties they serve.
I would carry on giving your best to the patients but make it clear where your boundaries are.

In our cong this is being used as an "incrowd" priviledge. To get this on your tablet is another form of one upmanship. This is another way in which those who have the permissions can dominate the r & f and make them feel inferior.

This is surely sound advice. I found it whilst drilling down with my iPad bored out of my skull during the WT study. I wish I had been quick enough to put it into an answer.
Start applying this to the material you read from the font of all misinformation and propagander. It would be great if we ever got an honest quote.
